Jessi’s Back!

Happy Tuesday, everyone! For the diehard Tuesday Traditions followers, you’ll recognize the author we have visiting Indiana Wonderer today. It’s Jessi Gage, who stopped by back in April and shared a little about her debut novel, Wishing on a Highlander (which I’ve since read and LOVED). Now she’s returned to share a bit about her latest release, Road Rage. Be sure to catch the full blurb at the end of this interview!roadrage

Please join me in welcoming back Jessi Gage!

  1. Name (or pen name): Jessi Gage
  1. State (or country) you call home: Washington
  1. Genre(s) you write: Paranormal and fantasy romance
  1. Most recent release title: Road Rage (Lyrical Press, June 3, 2013)
    1. Storyline:

He has anger issues, and she has amnesia, but together they have amazing chemistry.

  1. Of your most recent storyline, pick one character that is most like you. Tell us who they are and give us an example of why:

Cami, heroine in Road Rage is pretty much an extension of myself. Writing Cami gave me a chance to explore my own fear of driving on the freeway. But Cami has a lot of baggage that I don’t have. Let’s face it, I’m not interesting enough to be a romance heroine, LOL! Cami has good reasons for shying away from freeway driving, and her hero, Derek, helps her overcome them. That part is all story, and it was so much fun to write!

  1. Favorite Restaurant:

Tutta Bella. I can’t get enough of their wood-fired pizzas, rosemary lemonade, and salted caramel gelato. Oh, man, now I’m hungry!

  1. If you had a quiet day to yourself at home–no work, no deadlines, kids were off at play dates–how would you spend the day?:

This is my dream, to have a day like this, LOL! I would spend half of it reading, the other half writing.

  1. Name a book or two that you read this past year and really enjoyed:

Just one or two? Maybe I’ll go with favorite authors instead, since I’ve read SO many amazing books. For contemporary erotica, one of my favorite genres, I love Cara McKenna and Charlotte Stein. For urban fantasy and time-travel romance featuring hot Highlanders, I’m hooked on Karen Marie Moning. I also love Janet Evanovich’s Stephanie Plum series. I eat those up like candy!

  1. If you could have coffee with one author, who would it be and why?:

Karen Marie Moning. She looks like a hoot to hang with (she loves fast cars, sexy shoes, and romance novels), and I’d definitely pick her brain about how she created her fascinating world of magical artifacts, sex-crazed fey and brooding heroes.

Thanks for coming back and sharing with us, Jessi! Congratulations again on your recent release of Road Rage, and we look forward to the next in your Highlander series, too!

Blurb from Road Rage:

Lashing out in anger, construction worker Derek causes an accident on the freeway. His truck escapes unscathed, but he can’t say the same for his conscience. Plagued by nightmares of the wreck, his only comfort comes in the form of nightly visits by a mysterious woman who interrupts his dreams with sensual caresses and words of solace.

Cami has no idea who she is, until she wakes in a hospital bed and learns she’s been comatose due to a car wreck. Her visits with Derek must have been a dream, so why can’t she shake the feeling he was a real man who truly needed her help?

When Derek learns his mystery woman is none other than the driver of the car he cut off and she is fighting for her life, he must decide: Is he man enough to face her and ask forgiveness, or will he run away and avoid the consequences of his anger, yet again?

CONTENT WARNING: Sex with a perfect, imaginary dream girl who really isn’t imaginary.
